Long time, no blog...

It's been about 2 weeks since I last blogged anything, so thought I would write a little something. We have been pretty busy here. Gary got home from a 10 day business trip to Japan the day before Valentine's Day, we went out to dinner with friends to celebrate Valentine's (complete with babysitter for kids!!! WOOHOO!), Easton had baseball tryouts on the 19th and did very well. We were proud of him. He was selected to the Texas Rangers baseball team in his league and is doing well showcasing his talent to all. Madison and Moo haven't been up to a whole lot...Moo hasn't pulled any of his stunts lately, but Gary leaves again on Monday, so stay tuned, I am sure he will be up to no good as soon as Daddy leaves the house! As for me, I am hanging in there trying to keep it all together...this week will test the patience, because the kids are always different when they know they can gang up on one parent and there is no backup to call in:) This past Friday was also a very special day for us...Gary finally got to pin on his rank he made this past June! Waiting totally stinks, but being there for the ceremony was worth the wait. I am so proud of him and his achievements....He is now a Master Sergeant in the USAF...only 2 stripes away from the pinnacle of the enlisted corps. There is a little pay bonus in there too (they say the wives spend all of that), but he is now among the top senior NCO's in the air force. The whole family got to attend and Carson and Maddie made it entertaining, climbing on the chairs and running back and forth to Gary during the ceremony, but everyone said how cute they were and didn't mind...

I'm trying to catch up on email and blog reading and thought I'd check in. Sounds like you had a wonderful, restful getaway! I'm counting the days until Spring break which starts in a week. Patrick missed all last week with flu - fever and cough. Sounds like Easton is doing good. We just finished Upward Basketball and will take a break from sports for awhile. Miss you guys!
