You know that saying, "Baseball is Life"? Well, that holds SO true to our lives this summer!!! Easton ended his regular season of baseball in May by meeting ALL of his goals (set by himself) by being selected to the All-Star team. Practices were held for a couple of weeks and then the boys played in a tournament, in which they placed 4th. End of season, right? We thought so, but were mistaken...we got a call from the 8U All Star coach a few days later asking if Easton would be interested in traveling with their team to TAMPA for the State Championship Tournament. We were thrilled that we were afforded that opportunity, and we jumped on it. My mom and Lou were gracious enough to come down and stay with Maddie and Moo while we traveled, so we could focus on the games...which was great! Our team was great and we ended up playing the whole week and making it to the championship game! We actually beat the team we played and were supposed to play them again, but it began to POUR rain so they called the tournament and awarded Co-Championship trophies to us (because our only losses were to each other)...Easton had a great time and played some great ball. He has perfected his bunting skills and has even tought himself to "switch" bunt...or bunt from both sides of the plate...I didn't know he could do that!!! Anyway, here are a few pictures of him and the team with their trophy...stay tuned more baseball to come!!!
